Kootenay Eagles, Ospreys and Red Fish

Every year near the end of August/beginning of September the Kokanee (a type of land locked salmon) leave the Arrow Lakes and make their way up all the local creeks to spawn. It is a fun event to watch as there is often really good wildlife watching. Eagles, Ospreys, Herons, bears, and countless other predators and scavengers gather around the creek beds and feast on the easy prey of fish. Here are a few photos I took of some of the birds I saw at Taite Creek south of Fauquier, British Columbia in the Kootenays.

Hello! I love your photography! I am an emerging artist originally from the Kootenays, and have a desire to paint fish spawning and was wondering if you would allow me to use your fabulous pictures as a reference, I of course would be willing to pay and credit you as the photographer.
