Our last stop of our trip took us to the north eastern town of Cairns to go snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, and take a bit of time to decompress before leaving Australia. Before hitting the ocean we decided to go on a hot air balloon ride. I had wanted to take Mateo on one near Alice Springs, but we ran out of time exploring Uluru. It was still fun though up near Cairns. The highlight for us was probably the snorkeling (I also went on 2 introductory dives) on the reef. So many colorful fish, lovely water, and a great boat and staff. What a fantastic way to end the trip.
