sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
Then restart Sound Juicer and you should have an options in your preferences to encode as mp3.

		<description><![CDATA[I ran into a problem recently in Gnome where I was using KDE applications such as konqueror or digicam in Gnome, and I wanted to change the default behavour of KDE applications to not open on a single click (I prefer the traditional double click). Anyway to change KDE application defaults run the command:
